On the 9th of November 2023, the Baden-Württemberg-Burundi meeting of the Baden-Württemberg foundation for development and cooperation (SEZ) will take place in Stuttgart. As part of the event, the documentary short film "Facing new realities. Wie sich der Klimawandel im Herzen Afrikas auswirkt" (How climate change is affecting the heart of Africa) by Patrick Hajayandi will be shown for the first time. The film provides insights into the causes and consequences of climate change in a country that is feeling the effects of climate change despite minimal CO2 emissions. The film premiere will be followed by a discussion about the film. There will also be a short report on the official delegation trip to Burundi in June 2023 as well as information on current developments in the country partnership
